Diaphoresis.....

...a fancy word for sweat! I am sitting here covered in it with aching feet and very painful ribs but I am sooo happy and content I have to tell about it.

I have cleaned my guest room!

Not a room that gets properly cleaned very often. Usually just a quick vacuum and dusting, but today the curtains and duvet was washed (I even made the duvet inner smaller to actually fit properly into the cover), the base of the bed and the matress was steam-cleaned, the walls were washed (even the lampshade was washed) and the carpet was steam-cleaned... and it is only lunchtime now! Now, to me, that is an achievement.

All this thanks to the inspiration of my blogger friends who always seem to achieve so much in their houses. Thanks bloggies!

Now I am off to a quick bath before a nice Simba chips and mayonaise sandwich (believe me, it might sound strange but is delicious and also totally unhealthy... I think I deserved it).

Good job! And I guess you deserve your Simba chip and mayo sandwich. But please .... what is that? I'd love to know about the seemingly exotic food you're rewarding yourself with!

You've made me feel guilty now!

I'm off to do the washing up from yesterday; thanks a bunch.

Simba chips is just crisps. You take fresh white bread, spread mayonaise on it and place the chips on top of it. The softness of the bread and the crispiness of the crisps is what I enjoy. So you see, nothing exotic but rather a totally silly sort of sandwich that kids and teenagers would eat, but I like it every now and then,

My house is a pigsty and I feel guilty about it, but don't have time to fix it. On the rare occasion I do engage in a frenetic bout of belated cleaning, I find it hugely satisfying. I like crisp sandwhiches too, but with butter as may is the devil's own food.

Hi Argent, I agree about mayo but is soo nice every once in a while. I also find house cleaning very sarisfying but thank goodness I do not have to do it every day - I'd go out of my mind. Thank heavens for Precious (my maid).

Phillip, doing dishes is not work, it is punishment...

You have a guest room!? It sounds very lovely, too.

Now all you need is a guest...! *wink* *hint* *heh*

Hi Jo, you are officially invited to make use of my guest room whenever you want. Just let my know when to pick you up at the airport.
