Then, this evening I found two comments on my blog from new people and one of them even became a follower. This did the trick. The cloud has not dissipated altogether, but has lightened considerably. This is how important a role blogging has come to play in my life... when and how did that happen?
Also, in the community where I function, topics of conversation are normally limited to what the blacks (that evil force called government and usually a much worse word is used) are doing to this country, how badly the municipality performs (same as twenty years ago only now it is so much more exciting because most of "them" are black), what is the newest scandal/sob story in Huisgenoot (popular boring magazine) or what happened on Sewende Laan (popular, repetitive and boring soapie)... negative, negative, negative and bo-o-o-ring! So once again, Blogland is Liberation-land. It takes me out of my tiny little fishpond and allows me to swim the oceans of the world.
Now I am asking: "Is it wrong, sinful, mentally unstable, sociopathic, etc. (ad infinitum) to love blogging?"... because I do!
PS: I do hope the people from mennolink.org will forgive me for using their image. It really portrays my feelings exactly.
