I am a Christian.

I am a Christian.

I believe in a God; The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
I believe that God created everything, both seen and unseen.
I believe that mankind severed the spiritual bond they had with God when they chose to trust Satan and allowed him to seduce them.
I believe that God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins in order to repair the severed spiritual bond between us.
I do believe in an afterlife, and that it will be spent either in heaven or in hell.
I believe in the absolute love and grace of God.
I do believe that the Bible is the Word of God (the manufacturer's manual) and that He inspired the writing of it.

I believe because I choose to believe.

This is my "faith" in a nutshell. I make no apologies for what I believe in and I will not try to qualify it either - I am simply not clever enough to play either theologian or philosopher. (I can probably write chapters about each of the above statements, but it would only be the musings of an all to human mind.) All I can say is that the experience of my walk with Christ and my relationship with Him over many years have confirmed what I believe time and time again.

I experience my Christianity as a simple, straightforward part of my day-to-day life. I have often seen fellow Christians being tripped up in their walk with Christ by all the confusing theology and dogma out there and I confess, I have been there myself. Once I realised that we cannot even imagine the height, width and depth of God's grace, I learned to relax and almost immediately I noticed a marked growth in my relationship with Jesus Christ.

One other thing I wish to state here very clearly is that although I will gladly tell others about my God and his love and grace, I will never try to harass, coerce, or force other people to make my beliefs their own. I respect the beliefs of other people but I must admit that few things in life makes me happier than seeing a person realising the wonder and power of God's love and turning to Him for redemption.

I do not claim to know all the answers or be perfect - I know my shortcomings all to well. So, please, have patience with me, I am just a very "human kind of human".

What a great post! I wish more people had the guts to express their feeling towards Jesus Christ. I am a Traditional Catholic and believe very strongly in my faith! God Bless you for being honest.
