I've done it again...

I've wiped my blog clean.  I was trying to copy a new gadget onto my blog and did something wrong, so now it is all gone and I will have to start all over.  Well at least my blog will have a new look soon sometime this year.  Now how did I do it the last time.......

Where can I buy a computer without a "delete" key?

Where do I paste the code for a new template?

Where do I paste the code for a "revolver map?

Where do I find an anthill to hide my head in, in shame?

Don't we all do stuff like that! So, frustrating ... but so human. Well, keep at it, girl.

Okay. It will have to stay this boring until I can get to it again. At least I now have a globe telling me where you are when you visit.

Here`s a related soul, as far away as Germany. We are all alike, aren`t we? I just don`t manage to add new blog names to my sidebar. They won`t appear. So never mind, we all have to struggle. But blogging is so much fun, isn`t it? let`s not get discouraged.

Hi Angela, a new visitor! It was so exciting to look at my now "globe" this morning and see a new flickering star over Europe... that was you.

Phew, yes Leilani, I'm still here. Remember, when it comes to technology, it is a case of I've been born before 1970, as my kids regularly remind me.

It's the content that counts more than the frame. Your content is the best bit so don't fret too much about losing some of the embellishments.

Hi, your friendly neighbourhood IT support here.

To save your template do this:

1) View your Blog
2) Go to Customize
3) Go to Edit HTML
There is a Download Full Template link. Click Save when the box appears and browse to a place on your PC's hard drive and save it there.

Now, the content:

1) View your blog (if you have not done so)
2) Go to Customize
3) Choose settings
4) On the Basic tab, there is an "export blog" link. Click this
5) Follow the instructions. A copy of your blog can be saved away to your PC (and can imported from this screen if needed later).

Hope this helped.

oh no human!
isn't there any way that blogger help can retrieve it for you.
this would be such a loss.
maybe it is good to copy and save each post when you do one..
i would feel so bad, myself, especially the words of all of your friends!
i really think that blogger help could figure something out..

Hi Terry, fortunately I did not loose the posts in the blog, just the template and Argent has kindly taught me how to do a backup.
