Just in Time

2009 was good to me in the sense that it lasted just long enough to give me time to publish 100 posts in one calendar year. Now I know, for most of you, 100 posts in a year is not much but to me, whose middle name should have been procrastination, this is really an achievement.

I wanted to make this a very special post and the best way for me to make it special is to tell all my friends in blogland how special you have made blogging for me.

If you look at my very first post, you will realise that I started blogging because I felt a need to do something for myself and originally I intended to write down childhood memories. These initial intentions changed very quickly to an addiction to blogging. With this I certainly do not mean only writing posts, but mostly reading your posts and commenting on them.

A Majority of Two was the first blog that I became a follower of and to this day, Jo is still one of my favourite Blogger friends. Argent gave me a glimpse of what talent is and introduced me to Harold, my favourite weekly demon. Arley inspired me to be more productive and gave me"grandchildren" in Blogland. Sandy lifted my spirits daily with her positive outlook on life not to mention her generous spirit and special talent for finding bargain treasures. Phillip took me on many wonderful tours of one of Britians grand old houses, not to mention his fascinating personal history and Leilani takes me swimming with the dolphins and turtles in the clear waters of Hawai on a regular basis. Justin, well is Justin, a delight who give me a glimpse into his viewtiful life and JD teaches me what can be if and when you let God in. You guys have become very real to me. I do not think of you as people who live in my computer, I think of you as people living in my head and in my heart.

These are the people that I have known since life in Blogland began for me. There are many more who came later, but if I mention all of you here, I will still sit here at midnight trying to finish off my 100th post and then I fill miss my deadline.

You all have regularly transported me from my stoep and my boring little life to places and people and happenings that I otherwise never would have experienced and for that I cannot thank you enough. The most important thing here is: "I love you all and I appreciate the influence you have had on my life over the past 100 posts. I do hope you will still be with me for my 200th post, for I will certainly still be following all of you. Thank you for sharing in my life and allowing me to share in yours. My life is so much the richer for it!"

And Oh Yes!  I hope you all will experience only peace, joy and prosperity in the year to come.  May all your dreams come true and may all your prayers be answered.  You are all special to me.

Good for you, 100 blogs this year. I'm doing pretty well but, then, I only just started in mid-September. I don't know if I'll think of enough things to say to keep on writing but it has been so therapeutic for me
( I've neglected a lot of other projects - like going through my papers and closets but that wouldn't have been any fun at all and I would have missed making so many wonderful friends ).

Your blog is a delight and I look forward to it so much. Thank you, by the way, for your wonderful and supportive words of love on my site. My spirits were lifted immeasurably.

May the New Year be filled with blessings!

Congratulations!!! I remember when Jo recommended your blog to me. I was so intrigued by your life and where you live. I enjoyed reading each and every post. Thank you for being a part of my life. We can never have too many family members, even if they're not blood related. My children are your grandchildren!!!! Happy New Year!!!

Congrats on your 100th post. I so enjoy reading what you share. And I agree that blogging has brought many wonderful people into my life, yourself included. Like in your last post, we have achieved through the internet a way to allow people around the world to connect and communicate. I look forward to more, and hopefully a meeting come March.
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year.

What you say is true. You actually become more attached to some blog friends than you are to some of your real life friends.

Here to 100 ... no much more than 100 more.

Congratulations...! Your blog is one of my absolutel "must-reads". I find I don't have time to visit everyone lately, and when I do, I don't always have time to comment. But I love reading about your life in South Africa. Here's to 100 more, and then 100 more after that!

Happy New Year to you and your family.

Cheers,
Jo
