SnapIt Review

Roughly two weeks ago I was invited by Digeus Software to try out SnapIt 3.5 and to write a review on it.

Well my first reaction was one of astonishment that any software developer would ask me to try out a program, I mean, do they know how little I know? However as I started using this very nifty tool, I realised why they believed that even a layman such as I, could tell just how good it is. So here is how this layman experienced this product.

It downloaded very quickly and once downloaded I started playing around with it immediately. I "snapped" perfect photos of various bits and pieces, even text, on various screens and was amazed at just how clear and true the snapped images were. Even small font types read very easily once enlarged. This was a wonderful discovery for me as I have quite serious vision problems.

It is very easy to use. One - you click the SnapIt icon on your desktop and it opens in your system tray. Two - you press Print Screen on your keyboard. Three - you draw a rectangle around the image, or part of an image with your mouse. Four - you right click on the icon in the system tray and save the snapped image to any directory you wish. It also has a feature under properties where you can set it to automatically save any snapped image to a directory of your choice, so in fact it is as easy as One, Two, Three.

I am soon to become a grandmother and often receive sonar-scan photos through E-Mail. Until now they all looked like Picasso paintings gone wrong, but I found that if I take little snapshots of various parts of the scan-photos (as directed by my daughter in law over the telephone) and enlarge them, even I can make out little eyes and a nose and a mouth and proof that I am going to have a grandson soon. Now I know, if you are a young IT geek, this might not carry much weight but for grandma-aged IT users like me, this is really handy.

I am sure that the more-educated-in-computer-use will be able to write a much more technically correct review of this program, but this is how I experienced SnapIt and I will recommend it to anyone who uses a computer whether for work or play.

I had never heard of such a program, but I'm SO glad that you got to try it out, experience it, and that you were pleasantly surprised :)

Thank you for sharing!

I'm a seasoned IT Geek and this was a great review! I also have quite serious vivion problems and this doo-hickey sounds like a very useful tool. At the moment, if I want anything off the screen, it's ALT-PrtSc and paste into Word or Paint to be edited.

SnapIt sounds useful. Thanks for letting us know about it.

And we IT Geeks appreciate ease-of-use just as much as the next person.

Your Massey in the header is superb.

Thanks for the information; I'm about to buy a new computer in the weeks to follow so I'll take in consideration this software too.
You're a great reviewer!

Hey nice approach to the Review. I just wanted to know one thing!

You were contacted by 'Katherine Poll' right? What did she say? She said, "If you right the Review, we will give you one Registered Key" right ??

So did U get that registered key ?

Dear Swayam Das, My answers to your questions are yes, yes, yes and yes. Why the agitated tone to your remark? Is something wrong? Please let me know if it is.
